The Allied Health Professional Gateway to Ireland

CORU is Ireland's multi-profession health regulator, responsible for regulating a wide range of Health and Social Care Professionals (HSCPs).

The journey involves two main stages with CORU:
1. Qualification Recognition:

CORU assesses your academic qualification and clinical placements against Ireland's Standards of Proficiency for your specific profession.
* You must submit certified documents, including your degree, transcript, and a certificate of good standing/verification from your home country's competent authority.
* If deficiencies are found, CORU may require you to complete a Period of Adaptation (supervised practice) or an Aptitude Test.

2. Registration:
* Once your qualification is recognized, you proceed to the final Registration application
* The entire process is lengthy and can take several months, so beginning the process as soon as possible is highly recommended.
