What is the Irish Dental Council Licensing Exam?
The exam is designed for non-EU qualified dentists who wish to register and practise in Ireland. It consists of two parts:

Part 1: Written and Practical Assessment

Covers basic sciences, dental ethics, and practical skills.
Typically held between late March and early April.
Candidates are assessed on knowledge and their ability to apply it in a dental context.


Part 2: Clinical Examination

Involves theory paper, OSCEs and viva.
Usually conducted between late June and early July.
